Cool, breezy conditions welcomed the participants over the 26.2 mile course around Brighton and Hove for the 2019 Brighton Marathon.
Paul Navesey ran an incredible 2:18:17 to finish second overall. Navesey's time smashed his own personal best by over five minutes and at the same time broke the Crawley AC Club Record set by training partner James Westlake (2:23:06) in the 2018 Toronto Marathon. Paul has had a stellar spring, also setting new bests on the road at 5k (14:07) and 10k (29:33). The Club look forward to seeing what Paul can achieve in the forthcoming track season.
Crawley also had some good performances from Martin Brine (3:01:06), Andy Cox (3:02:57), Michael Hobbs (3:43:23) and Sascha Jackson (4:03:06)
